Well, I may not be a ninja yet, but I am closer than I was 12 weeks ago!
Ok ok, I probably can’t even use the words “I” and “ninja” in the same sentence because I still close my eyes when someone is swinging at me. But, it is more like a quick blink now instead of the long flinch/eyes shut tight that it used to be so I call that improvement!
My awesome coach, Dave, and my co-worker/friend, Cathy, spent two nights a week for 12 weeks kicking my butt into self defense shape. I am so grateful for their time, attention and special care they both took to make sure I was prepared for anything – except of course, the Chimps in this video.
Is that what those hippies are teaching baby chimps in Kenya? 😉

Those chimps are scary … I’m so glad we had the 12 weeks.
I am so thankful for your help! I think I will just try to convince the chimps that a banana is better than a machete 😉
Caitlin, you’re amazing! What kind of training are you doing? I haven’t done any self defense in years–I’m thinking of taking a course next year, but I’m not sure what to take.
