I am sitting in the Philadelphia Airport right now waiting to head to NC for a week long training course at Equip!

I am going to take a class called Community Health Evangelism (CHE).

CHE is a model where trainers teach community leaders (in third-world villages) how they can address their physical, social and spiritual needs themselves, not by relying on a program that offers them money. The key to CHE is the community’s willingness to take responsibility for addressing its own problems. It usually takes a couple years of working in a community for the CHE model to really start to work – where the community finally stars taking initiative on its own. Although it is a long process, the result is a sustainable community.
