We were all really happy with the final product and it finally gave the Host a visual to what I had taught them about in Pumps 101. It was really cool when they said “oh, now I get it!” after they saw the pump operating. I was really excited to finish the pump. It was a complete 180 for me because I was really dreading building the pump but in the end it was a a great to have built an operational pump out of the materials available. I am pretty sure that was something I needed to work through and a good lesson for me to have on this trip.
